VERITAS HUB – Statement of Faith (Brief)

1. Scripture
We affirm that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, wholly sufficient for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21).

2. God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in glory and majesty, and perfect in holiness, justice, wisdom, and love (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).

3. Humanity and Sin
God created humanity in His image, with inherent dignity and purpose. Through the fall, all people became sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God and under His just judgment (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1–3).

4. Salvation Through Christ Alone
The Lord Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man—lived a sinless life, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, and now reigns as Lord. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Isaiah 53; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:4–9; Romans 10:9–13).

5. The Holy Spirit and Sanctification
The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, brings new birth, indwells believers, and empowers them for holiness, obedience, and perseverance. The Christian life is marked by repentance, transformation, and increasing conformity to Christ (Ezekiel 36:26–27; Romans 8:1–16; Galatians 5:16–25).

6. Christian Sexual Ethics
God designed marriage as a covenantal union between one man and one woman, ordered toward companionship, holiness, and the raising of children (Genesis 2:18–25; Matthew 19:4–6). Scripture calls all people—married or single—to sexual purity. All sexual activity outside biblical marriage, including homosexual behavior, is sin and requires repentance, forgiveness, and grace in Christ (1 Corinthians 6:9–20; Hebrews 13:4). Experiencing temptation is not sin; cultivating or acting upon sinful desires is (James 1:13–15).

7. The Church, Discipleship, and Discipline
The local church is God’s ordained community for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mutual care. For the good of believers and the honor of Christ, the church practices restorative discipline toward those who persist in unrepentant sin, aiming always at repentance and reconciliation (Matthew 18:15–20; 1 Corinthians 5; Hebrews 12:5–11).

8. Human Worth, Compassion, and Pastoral Care
Every person is created in God’s image and is to be treated with dignity, compassion, and truth. Christians are called to speak truth in love, bearing one another’s burdens and offering grace, hope, and help to all who struggle (Genesis 1:27; Galatians 6:1–2; Ephesians 4:15).

9. Christ’s Return and Final Judgment
Jesus Christ will return bodily to judge the living and the dead, to reward His people, and to renew all things. All believers will enjoy eternal life with God, and all who reject Him will face eternal separation (Matthew 25:31–46; Revelation 21–22).
